Our Family Pictures.....FINALLY!

I couldn't ever find time to take pictures of my own kids for Christmas Cards this year, but today I finally did it! I made them stop what they were doing and change clothes for pics. After much moaning and groaning, we went out to our back yard and took an ENTIRE 5 MINUTES and got a few shots of the boys that we can use for some very rushed Christmas Cards. So here is what I got....

Jackson has just lost his front tooth and the other is just dangling there! He is afraid that if he looses the second tooth in front then all he'll get for Christmas is his two front teeth! :) He is sooo funny!

Braylen has gotten so handsome. Yes, he needs a haircut...but still handsome!

Devon has those wonderful blue eyes! I can't believe that next month he will be 12 years old!

Bryce....well...while definitely not a natural in front of the camera(he tries), he is a cutey with a very good heart!

I'm so thankful that these boys get along (well..most of the time..lol) and love each other as much as they do! They are such good boys. We are very lucky!

So there ya' go! That's what I got in a quick 5 minute photo session with 4 boys who were complaining and whining about 2 seconds before I shot these! Not too bad I think!

These are the pics that almost didn't happen! We met Saturday in Wichita Falls, but before that we had serious discussion of rescheduling because of such crazy winds that day. I am so glad we decided to just Go For It! We went to a great spot that kept the wind from us and we had NO problems at all! And this good-looking couple turned out some awesome pics! Oh...and she brought her 6 year old son...as you can tell, he is one handsome fellow and kept us laughing the whole time!

I can't wait for the wedding in April. Thanks so much Leah and Jeremy for meeting me for the pics. I really enjoyed getting to know you!

Paul and Lydia were married at the Kemp Center for the Arts. It was a beautiful day for a wedding.

Lydia was such a stunning bride.

She had a very fun set of friends for her bridesmaids.

The grooms cake was the most amazing grooms cake I have seen. It was snoopy and his dog house. So cool!

Cassie and Shaun got married in Las Vegas while Donna and I were there for our WPPI Photography Convention in Las Vegas. In case you don't know, Cassie is my Neice, so I was so excited to be able to be a part of her very special day!!! Donna and I were her only family that was there for the wedding and Shaun's brother flew down from Denver to share the day with them as well. Here are some pics of their Vegas Wedding!

Cassie picked the coolest shoes for a vegas wedding. As alot of you know I LOVE leopard prints!

WPPI - Las Vegas

I just got back last night from a wonderful photography convention in Las Vegas called WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International). Donna and I attended it for the third year in a row. It was so amazing and we always learn so much each year. We go to classes all day long Sunday through Thursday and get to meet the world's best photographers and learn from them. I am so happy that we have gotten the opportunity to do this every year. My work improves more and more each time from this convention. We bought some new and fun products at the tradeshow and I cannot wait to get to use them!

I am going to try and get orders caught up, and emails and phone calls all returned by Monday. I am also in the process of moving to Temple, Oklahoma so I have a lot going on right now and am running a little behind. Also, if you haven't already been told...this move will not change the area of clients I am serving. It's only 30 minutes away from where I live now....so no worries!!! So, if you have left an email or phone call this week...I am NOT trying to ignore you, I've just been a little out of pocket and you will be hearing from me soon. Thanks so much to you all for your understanding and patience.

I shot a very special wedding while we were in Las Vegas and I can't wait to Blog some of those pics. We also have another wedding this weekend! {E-Session} Tom & Chelsea

A couple weekends ago, Donna and I traveled thru the ice and snow to make a little road trip to Austin to meet up with Chelsea and Tom for some fun engagement shots. We had such a great time with these two and Chelsea's mom came along to help out too...she was great! We went to several locations throughout Austin and here are some of my faves! The first few are from the Arboretum in Austin. We only had about ten minutes before they closed, but we got some great shots in a short amount of time.

We also went to a really cool and hip part of town for some urban shots.

Our last stop was the lake. They had this fabulous MG car parked there waiting on us. I LOVE the look of these pics!

Thank you guys so much for bringing Donna and I down to Austin to take these shots. I hope you had a wonderful visit with your family for Christmas and a safe trip back to Chicago! I can't wait to head back down for your wedding in October.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture!

Mark and Sidnee met me on one of those extremely cold days this last week. We wondered if it would be a very good day for pictures, and discussed the possibility of rescheduling. But they are actually getting married in just a few weeks in Red River, NM so we didn't have time for rescheduling. So we decided that we would just go for it...and look what we got!!!!

Her green jacket,red hair, and bright blue eyes loved the camera. It wouldn't have mattered what the temperature was that day, this couple was rocked this session!

They are sweet, fun, and obviously very in love! I am sooo glad we went ahead with this shoot. These two were great! I loved getting to meet the two of you. I hope you have a wonderful wedding day in Red River!

New Website Goes Live on Monday!

Just a little update on what changes the new website will bring. First of all, I updated the portrait galleries with the most recent pictures to view. Then, one big change that will affect some of my past clients...Ordering. I will be getting rid of the old online ordering galleries and new clients will be able to view and order pictures in their own personal gallery of pictures by entering your assigned personal password. If you are a past client with pictures online and they are past the 30 day viewing period, I am keeping these pictures up for another week and then that ordering system is gone. If you would like your session to be uploaded to the new site, then there will be a $25 fee to load them. So hurry up and get your oders in! I always have the pictures...I am in no way getting rid of them...just taking them offline if they are past due for it. Just part of the change. Trust me it is a better way to order and the pictures look so much better when you are viewing them. Also, I will have monthly or seasonal specials posted on the site. I will have featured galleries so that you may see an entire session or wedding. More pricing and packages are easier to be seen. I also have a section for you to see samples of my custom designed cards. You can have cards made for any occasion...birth announcements, senior graduation announcements, wedding invitations, thank you cards, Christmas, Valentines....you name it!

Anyway, there are great things to see so head over to my website on Monday and take a look around!

Sweet Keigan

This is sweet baby Keigan...although I guess she's not a little baby anymore! She was so funny during her photo shoot. She even tried to pick up the chair and move it where SHE thought that it should go. When she couldn't lift it she just told her mom to move it for her and exactly where to put it. The picture above is my absolute favorite. I took when after we were already finished and she was telling us bye bye and blew me a kiss!

She was having a blast being outside so we just let her take the lead and followed her everywhere!

It was time to renew my website this month and I decided instead of renewing I would just get a whole new one. This actually requires many many hours of work to try and get this site launched and looking exactly how I am wanting it. There will be some new features on it. I will be featuring some weddings so that future brides can get a feel of what the entire wedding photos might look like and I am putting in a shopping cart so that my clients will have there own password to get to their gallery of pictures and order straight from there. There are several more things that will hopefully make my website an easy reference for my present and future clients. I am hoping this will all come together by next week....if not before then.

Will and Annie came all the way from Dallas on Sunday for this wonderful photo shoot. Annie was really wanting her pics to be out in the country with a big open field. Well, they came to the little 'ole town of Ryan and did they ever get country!!! For those of you who live around Ryan, Donna and I took them to Sugden! How much more "country" can you get than that?? Make sure to check out Donna's Blog to see her shots from Sunday too!

Here is the entire family portrait. They are such a good looking family aren't they! Annie is wearing a vintage dress of her grandmothers. I absolutely loved it!

Besides their good looks...they are the funniest, sweetest, and adventurous couple I have met in a long time. The way they interact with each other...I just loved watching them together. They made my job soooo easy!

They TRULY enjoy each other as you can see.

Will & Annie are getting married this December in Dallas and they had these boots custom designed to wear in their "Southern Comfort" themed reception.

This photo session is pretty much a 2 part session. This picture here is a little teaser to show you what's to come. Will and Annie did a "Day After" session. This is a session that the Bride and Groom may opt to do so that they can have a relaxed couple of hours to get some wedding pics together...instead of just the rushed and stressed wedding day pics. This is not Annie's wedding dress for the official "big day". She bought this dress just for this shoot. It was absolutely gorgeous! I will be posting more pics from this session this weeked, so keep checking back for that.

{Married} Fernando & Caren

Caren and Fernando were married Saturday in Wichita Falls. It was a wonderful wedding. She said she was nervous, but you definately couldn't tell. Caren was a very calm and collected bride. The wrong wedding cake was even delivered to her reception and she kept it cool. I would have lost it right there.

Her beautiful boquets were made by Paula's Flowers located here in Ryan, OK. They were gorgeous!

Londi is Caren's neice and she made the cutest flower girl. And let me tell ya'....she loves to pose for a picture!

This was a sweet moment when her mother and grandmother tied the ring onto her boquet.

Stacie Wright from Chunky Charms made the jewelry for Caren, Brandie, and Londi. It looked wonderful.

I can't tell you what the bridesmaids did to her, but she definately got a little shock. I love to see all the different reactions.

I have known Caren for years now. She is a sweet and beautiful girl, but I have never seen her look this stunning. She makes a beautiful bride. Caren is marrying a firefighter and so we very fittingly started out her bridal session with this great vintage firetruck.

Saturday I took a little road trip to Sulpher, OK. I met Josh and Bethany there and we went to shoot their engagement session in the Chickasaw National Park. I had never met this couple, but I quickly found out that they were fun and funny...and so great together. These first two pics are my favorites..I think! I really liked alot of them. It wasn't hard to come back with some great pics to choose from when you have such a great looking couple like these two.

{Engaged} Denver & Heather

Denver and Heather are getting married next month. We had a heck of a time trying to get this engagement session without getting rained out, but finally tonight we did it. I was worried about it being so cloudy and dreary outside, but we got some great shots and the weather just didn't matter. These two were lots of fun! I really can't pick a favorite here this time, because I LOVE them all!

These guys have been together for 3 1/2 years and are so in love. Such a sweet couple. Thank you Denver and Heather for having me come out to capture these pictures for you!

Changes are coming.....

So here is a little update on what all has been going on with my little photography business and some things that are going to happen to the business. First, if you have had trouble getting in touch with me over the last couple of weeks, please try again.... or if you left me an email or voicemail I am trying to get them all returned asap. I am ALWAYS quicker to reply back to you if you email me @ jenreidphoto@sbcglobal.net . If you havn't heard, I had a little unexpected surgery almost two weeks ago and I am recovering well. Thank you everyone who sent your thought and prayers to me and my family. Now that I am getting recovered and ready to start shooting again, I just want to say that I do have some openings for the next two weekends. I will try to get everyone in for a session that I can.

Next thing thats going to have to happen is a little price change going on...yes I hate to have to do it, but I want to stay in business more. I hope the slight increase doesn't cause anyone any problems, but if I am going to provide you with the best possible products and talent, then it gets expensive for me to have the best equipment, the best training, and use the most awesome lab to give you great prints. For me to keep providing this quality of service it just has to be done. Honestly, I have been underpricing myself for years now, but my hopes are to eventually be able to afford to only focus on this job and not a second one as well. If I can ever go full time with photography, then I can give much faster customer service as well. My pricing changes will include new wedding pricing, print pricing, and I am adding a Newborn and Bridal package. The change will be happening September 15th. If you have already officially booked your wedding (meaning that I have your wedding retainer fee and your signed contract in hand), then your package price will not change. Session Fees and Wedding Retainer fees are staying the same.

Lastly, I am going to be announcing dates for special fall sessions. There will be a day set for several appointments with Fall Portraits in the Park in Wichital Falls, TX and also another day for Senior Portraits, Bridal Portraits, or any of your more urban looks like we did last year in either Deep Ellum @ Dallas or Brick Town @ OKC..I would love to hear your comments on which location we should choose for this....get enough bookings, we could do both!!! We all had such a great time last year...you shouldn't miss out on this opportunity. Remember these are also great times to get your family portraits taken for your Christmas Cards....YES I said Christmas Cards! We need to schedule your appointments for these cards in October or November. Wow...its getting close isn't it???

{Baby} Introducing......Jace Greenwood

I would like to introduce you to sweet baby Jace. He is the son of Joey and Shana and lucky brother to Jarrett and Jentry. Now if you know what Jarrett and Jentry look like, then you know there is no mistaking who this baby boy belongs to. He is such a beautiful baby and was so good!

{Baby} Charlotte

This is sweet baby Charlotte. She is the daughter of my good friends Judy and Arne. I was so excited when Judy asked me to take her daughters pictures. The first reason is that I love to get to see her anytime I can and catch up on all the day to day life sort of things. The second reason is that Judy is a VERY talented artist. She has her work in Galleries all over the Dallas area. I am so proud of her and all of her success with her talent. So it meant alot to me that she liked my type of art enough to have me take her daughters pictures.

This is Judy with Charlotte. I have known Judy since we were children. It is so great to watch her with her own children now. Who knew back then we would both have been blessed
with such wonderful families of our own.

What beautiful Blue eyes!!!!

Can you tell she is part German? Arne (her Daddy) was our foreign exchange student from Germany when we were in High School. He even lived in Judy's house back then. They did not get along very well at that time, so it is funny now how they have fallen in love, gotten married, traveled and lived all over the world together, and now made such a beautiful family together. Life works in amazing ways sometimes.

Charlotte was such a happy baby. I really enjoyed spending my Sunday with two of you. Thanks so much for coming all the way from Arlington for her photo shoot. I hope we get to do this again really soon!

{Wedding} Jana + Steve

I was so happy to get the call when Jana asked if I would shoot her wedding for her. I have known her since she was a little girl and I loved getting the honor of capturing this day for her.

Jana and Steve were married last weekend in Durant, OK. This is the very beautiful house where their wedding took place.

Jana's sister Jamie would cry everytime she looked at her. It was sooo sweet. Jana and the bridal party had their hair styled by the wonderful Blaine Davis. I love when we work weddings together. She does an awesome job everytime!

Yep! You guessed it....They jumped in. It was great. Now I wasn't actually expecting her to jump off the diving board when she did and I know its not an award winning picture, but I had to show it anyway. It was just too much fun. Jana and Steve, you are the best. What a wonderful couple you two are. I was so honored to be a part of your day. Thank you so much for all the fun Donna and I had with you and even though you already jumped in...I can't wait to "Really" Trash That Dress!!!!

Addie's Day at the Lake

This is Addie's First time to the beach. She was non-stop fun! She was sooo funny, because she would see me with the camera and actually try to pose for me. She was a little ham!
She is such a happy little girl. We had no problem getting her to smile as you can see.

I met the nicest people tonight at this 4 month old little girls photo shoot. They are why I love my job. I get to meet the best people that I would never have known before. I had a great time with all of you! Thank you so much for all of your help getting baby Halli to smile! This girl is definately LOVED.

First of all, I would like to apologize to Valerie and Michael for the delay on blogging these pictures for you. As many of you know, My husband had an unexpected surgery this week and I am a little behind on some things now. But, My family comes first... always! I am lucky enough to have clients that understand this...thank you so much Valerie for understanding!

Now for the good stuff! Valerie and Mike got married June 27th in Duncan, OK at a really pretty historical house. It was a very sweet and simple wedding that just focused on the beginning of the two of them starting their life together.

A couple of pics of Braylen at the Lake today. He has gotten so handsome. (Of course I would say that...he's my baby boy)

The sun was hitting just right and made these pics look gorgeous.

We met my Brother and his family at the lake today. We were just going to stay home and clean house, but we also wanted to get together w/family too. When David asked us to come out to the lake with them, we just grabbed our stuff and headed that way. I am soooo glad we did. We had such a great time. The kids really enjoyed themselves and I am still sooo behind on all of my work. I promise I will get those of you blogged that are waiting and the rest of everyone elses pics online for you to view/order very soon! Even I need to break for some good ole family fun!

Red, White, and Blue

Couple of nights ago I had the privelidge of photographing these beautiful children. It was definately not a boring shoot to say the least. They are full of energy and so many different personalities. Did we get a so called "perfect" shot of these kids together? NO. But does everyone of these pictures show each one of their true personalities? YES. And that is why I like these pics so much...I would rather look at a picture and remember this moment. Than see them "fake cheesing" for the camera.This picture above is the very first picture I took in this session and it is the only one we got of them actually sitting all together. Like I said....full of energy!

She cried alot during the session. Apparently, she is not a fan of the camera, but later I caught her playing and we got some cute shots like this.

Yep. She is done! They got tired of taking pics fast, but they sure were fun! Thanks Blaine, Heather, Angie, Levita, and all of you gorgeous kids for hanging in there with the heat. I think we got some really cute shots. Call me when that new baby girl makes her appearance into the family Heather!

Saturday Donna and I took Jana's Bridal pictures at the Fort Worth Stockyards. Lots of cool spots there for pics. We had a great time and got most of it done before the awful heat of the day. Donna took these first 4 pictures and I took the last 3. Her internet hasn't been working on her computer...so I am posting these for her. They are just too good not to show! Jana looked beautiful, I can't wait until the wedding. Blaine Davis did an amazing job on her hair and help us alot through out the day. Thanks Blaine! At first, Jana was a little timid with taking the pictures, but she definately loosened up and I think we got some awesome shots of her. Few Days Rest!

I will be heading out of town with my family for a few much needed rest days. There will be absolutely no work....Yippee....the boys have plans for lots of hotel swimming pools, water parks, a trip to Incredible Pizza, Jackson and Kamryn's annual Build a bear trip, and definately squeeze in some R&R for myself in there somewhere. I will try to check my emails at night, but I will definately have all calls and emails returned this weekend. I will try to show some pics of our trip when I get back. Have a wonderful week!

Dana + Jason = Married!

Meet Mr. and Mrs. Duell. What a wonderful couple. They are genuinely good people. One of there parents told me that they were a match made in heaven. Very Sweet. Dana and Jason got married last Saturday in Chickasha, Ok. I have had sooo many beautiful pictures to go through this week and it was very hard to try and narrow down which ones to blog, so I actually just kept adding pics. Sorry it took longer than expected to post these pictures, but as you can see I had a gorgeous couple to photograph...which in turn means lots of gorgeous pictures that I wanted to show everyone. These pictures aren't necessarily in order...forgive me..it was late!

Today I met Valerie and Mike at Medicine Park to take their engagement photos. I had never been there before today and I absolutely loved it there. They are a great couple and lots of fun! This picture above is my absolute favorite...isn't she beautiful???

Jackson's First T-Ball Practice

Tonight was Jackson's first T-ball practice and he had no clue what he was supposed to do....that is why I like t-ball games soooo much...they are hilarious. You can't take them seriously. Jackson seemed to display more football moves by tackling his friends and falling on the ground, but he was a blast to watch. By the way, this is the reason that I will be a little harder to schedule appointments with during the week. Jackson plays for Ryan and I also have 3 other boys playing ball for Temple this summer too. We will be spread thin by traveling to each of their games.

This is Jackson teaching his teammate how to use the baseball gloves. As you can see...it's very important to use your glove right!

And to make sure that you don't lose your balance...you must stick out the tongue when running.
(I think he runs like his daddy in this picture)

He is demonstrating proper stance....again showing his teammate how it is done. Although, everytime the ball came straight to him he was too busy talking to notice the ball. lol.

That's my baby boy. I love watching T-ball. I havn't laughed so hard in a long time....it was a great night out!

So I have been very excited to show my total new photography look. I have been working with Jessica from Birdy Designs over the last month or so to try and get a complete new look. She did a great job with my logo...I think it totally reflects me and my style. I have slowily been integrating everything together and tonite I finally have the last project finished....MY BLOG! Jana and Steve opted to have a sunrise session which I was very excited about, because as you can see from these pictures you definately get the "good light". It was so worth it to get up early and drive to Loco, OK for these shots. I didn't even know there was a place called Loco, but Steve lives out there on some beautiful land. Here are the pictures as promised of Michelle and Makisi's wedding that was held at the First Christian Church in Wichita Falls, TX. This was such a beautiful wedding. These two are so Full of love and you could see how much they cared for each other every time they looked at each other. I was proud to be a part of this wedding.
